It's taken me forever to get onto this blog tonight - I forgot what email address I used when I set it up
(I have 5) - you'll have to forgive my memory blank, it could have been because of the bump on my head!  And, I have been so good lately - no accidents!!!!
If you don't already know, I live in the basement of the house I share with my oldest daughter, my son-in-law and my two grandchildren.  I have a nice granny suite.  I went up the stairs tonight to find the dog (he sleeps in my room every night) - all the lights were out and I don't see too well in the dark - I stepped into the hall and walked right into the side of the open powder room door.  Ouch - that hurt (and I couldn't yell - everyone was sleeping) I almost broke my glasses and I have a headache over my right eye and not one little bruise to show for it.

Well, I've gone and done it again - if I keep this up I won't be allowed to babysit any more!  Last night I was stuck with the grand kids - a great hardship - well, this week anyway because it's "turn off the TV" week. When I couldn't stand the whining and the "I'm bored" any longer it was off to the dog park we went with Max.  I made sure the kids were dressed warmly but, I forgot about me.  We were (I was) freezing after an hour but, I still had to drag the kids home.
Being the warm and loving grandmother that I am, I made us all hot chocolate - it was really just an excuse to use the mini (hand held) frother that my daughter got for Christmas - it has something to do with specialty coffees and whipping milk.  The evening ended well.
The problem arose this morning when my son-in-law discovered the frother submerged in water in the kitchen sink.  I guess I wasn't thinking and just dropped it into the sink to soak - as if it was spoon.  Glenn took the batteries out and has taken it apart to let it dry - hopefully (but, he doesn't hold out much hope) it will work again - otherwise I'll have to buy them a new one.  It was a classic "senior moment" and it may turn out to be an expensive one.

I must apologize to all my friends who were so disappointed that I didn't have a "turkey" story after this last holiday weekend.  I am sorry to have to admit that I didn't cook one this Easter - I certainly didn't cook a ham either (hate ham) - I didn't cook at all!!  I had a great time, the whole family was together and I didn't make any of them sick.

Wow - we had a very exciting day in the store yesterday - the Sashiko sewing machine from BabyLock had just arrived and Debbi and I were fighting over who was going to be the first to test drive it.  I won!!
You really should come in a check it out - it's amazing - imagine - only one thread coming up from the bobbin and it makes individual stitches (as if you were doing a running stitch by hand) -
it is great for quilting and fashion sewing.
I'm hoping that we get a few visiters to our new blog - sign in and become a member.
Don't forget to pick up your newsletter from the store - the spring schedule is finally ready.

It's amazing what a little rain will do - although the dog and I both felt like drowned rats by the time we got home from walking the grand kids to school this morning.   But because of that 'little' rain,  the buds on the trees look as if they're ready to burst open, the crocuses are up and the tulips leaves have even popped out of the ground.  Ladies I do believe that spring is here!
My youngest daughter was here for Easter (10 days and not one argument) - she is heading home to Edmonton tonight.  I hope you had a nice weekend with your family and friends as well!!
Our spring schedule is full of exciting classes and is ready for pick-up at the store - it will soon be posted to the web site.
It would be nice if you'd let us know what other (if any) classes you'd be interested in taking in the fall.  We are working on a few fun workshops for this summer - stay tuned for more information.
Don't miss our "Embroidery Club" Thursday, Apr. 8 - 1 - 3 pm.

Never mind, today is warm and the sun is shinning - we should all be out in it!!!!  Downtown sounds great today - off to get Hot Cross Buns!
