I hope you like the new look of our blog page - we will be making a few more changes over the next few months - let us know what you think - we love to hear from you.

We had a great time at this years Quilter's Shop Hop - groups from all over Ontario, Quebec and the United States participated.  Great fun was had by all! The winner of our 2010 Shop Hop quilt top is Nellie Van de Ven - congratulations Nellie!! There's more...we also had a few door prizes to give away and the winners are - first prize goes to Heather McClure; second prize to Geri Shortt and the third prize goes to Sandy White. The Shop Hop grand prize winners will be drawn Monday, June 28 - I'll try and post the winning names the evening of - stay tuned!

I went to Toronto yesterday, on business - nothing exciting going on in this life - I was driving past Trenton and noticed a very large, very slow plane, off to the right of my vision - then I noticed what I thought were birds, way too close to the plane.  Was it a bird - no it was a parachuter - about 5 or 6 actually - if I had been near an exit I would have pulled off the highway - I have only every seen parachuters on TV and at the movies - well anyway, I thought it was exciting!

Keeping you
in stitches,
Margaret

Love the new look of the blog! congrats to all the winners.

As for parachuters....My brother used to go all the time- enough times in fact that he was qualified and did pack his own shoot. My father and brother-in-law went with him once about 15 years ago. My sister and I were supposed to go- we did the course but were told in the end that they felt we were unqualified to do it- didn't feel we had enough arm strength. These weren't "tandum" jumps where you jump with another person- these were single person jumps- all for the best- I might be dead now! My cousins husband at the time also went but his shoot didn't open he had to use his 'reserve' shoot- needless to say - that was the last time he went!

Hope you have a 'more exciting' week ahead since you didn't have much in Toronto.

PS. You might get more viewers to your blog if you put a link on your webpage. If there is already one- I couldn't find it. I always have to google your store name and the word blog to find it. ...Just a suggestion.
